Gas Light

Sail back in time on a traditional working schooner designed for extreme stability while under sail on bay and delta waters. GAS LIGHT is a replica of the famous San Francisco hay boat that plied the bay during the nineteenth century, until the advent of the internal combustion engine.

The original GAS LIGHT was built in the1870's. More than a century later, in 1991, the new GAS LIGHT was built and launched. This replica was conceived and built as a window on the proud heritage of the original working boats. Her large wide decks and very stable footing is a great way to see the bay. Below is a large saloon for guests, food, beverages etc.
